Rite Foods Sponsors The Return Of Ojude Oba 2022
The ancient Ojude Oba festival which started over 100 years ago is a festival celebrated by the people of Ijebu Ode in the ancient town of Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State. Despite taking a two-year break, it returned spectacularly this year and is still one of the biggest events in Nigeria.
The festival tagged; “The Return Of Ojude Oba 2022” was held at the palace of Awujale, the traditional supreme ruler of the Ijebu kingdom.
As various factions (also known as the Regberegbes), natives, their friends, tourists, and associates from far and near trooped into the stadium opposite the palace where the event held, Rite Foods Limited, the official beverage sponsor of the colorful festival, refreshed over 5,000 guests with its brands: Bigi soft drinks, Fearless energy drinks, Rite and Bigi sausages, and the newly launched Sosa Fruit Drink.
With colourful Aso Ebi traditional parades, each group came alive. Indigenous people held parade after procession to honour the monarch, Alayeluwa Sikiru Adetona, dressed in beaded materials.
Riding on horses, fire performances, prayers, and other fun-filled activities took place as each regberegbe proceeded to pay tribute to the Awujale.
There were breathtaking performances by dancers, fire breathers, bikers, and horseback riders as Rite Foods honoured the monarch in grand style by paying homage to the land’s supreme monarch, His Royal Majesty, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, Ogbagba II, for being the keeper of his people’s traditional institution.
