The 2020 Headies awards which was the 14th edition of the annual awards took place on the 21st February, 2021. The event this year was a very exceptional one as 75% of the attendance was virtual due to the Corona Virus pandemic. That was a Fearless step to take considering the ton of attendance the event gets yearly.
It is definitely more fitting that the number one Energy drink brand in Nigeria, Fearless, sponsored this edition of the Headies.
This award event took place at Eko Convention Center in Victoria Island, Lagos where Fearless showcased the theme ‘Energy of Naija’ which has been the tagline since the beginning of the year. This was clearly expressed at the event with the exceptional experience center that clearly pronounced the kind of ‘energy’ the brand was there to showcase. Upon entering the holding area where the guests were refreshed, they were welcomed first by the sight of the top-notch Fearless arena.
So many elements at the Fearless experience center made the arena stand out at the event. Starting from the LED bar that accommodated the mixologist, to the great tasting cocktails and mocktails made from Fearless energy drinks and Bigi Carbonated soft drinks, and the flip cam that everyone had a feel of, getting beautiful videos of their outfit.
The highest point of the Fearless experience center was the trapeze dancer whose performance literally shut down every activity at the holding area.
That performance in itself brought into life the theme ‘Energy of Naija’. The performance was energetic, mind blowing, fierce and extremely breathtaking.
Everyone who came in contact with the brand definitely had great stories to tell about their experience with the brand. One thing that definitely makes the Fearless brand and Rite Foods stand out at every event is the ‘extra’ beauty and touch the brand adds to every event.
Fearless Energy drink is truly ‘The Energy of Naija.’
The fast-rising comedy prince returned for the third time with his very successful “The Oxymoron of Kenny Blaq” event.
Eko Hotels and Suites were packed with overflowing audience and raving fans who in a concise time have come to love Kenny Blaq. This year 2019, 28th of July, Kenny Blaq hosted his very successful Show.
With a live band and features of very new and upcoming comedians, Kenny Blaq is not just a one-man show, he has established himself as the Nigerian Greatest Showman with his exciting performance of dance and music. Many of the songs were familiar songs that the comedy prince from Ejigbo had refurbished into his own comic rendition.
One thing Kenny Blaq is good at is connecting the dots of relevant comedians and artists and making everything a fine tapestry of performing arts. One can only imagine the months of hard work and rehearsals put into a show like The Oxymoron of Kenny Blaq.
The audience couldn’t have asked for more even though he had more to offer, but it is one thing for you to satisfy people’s need for humour but what about their thirst and need to refresh, this is where Rite Foods stole the show, from the moment you walk in, the Fearless Bar and Lounge was waiting on you to provide you our cocktail of delight from our quality taste squad line-up. Everyone that walked the red carpet, sit on the Platinum or gold tables, or even if it was a regular or VIP, or even the green room, all had something to drink from Rite Foods Limited, be it Bigi soft drinks or the Fearless Energy Drinks, it was really up to your appetite, and there is no shame in wanting everything Rite Foods has to offer.

International women’s day is annually celebrated on March 8 to commemorate the achievements of women throughout history and across the nation. All through the month of March, there is always a buzz of celebration in the air to acknowledge the varying unique characteristics and strengths of a woman. This year’s celebration is not any different excluding the fact that the theme varies every year.
For the year 2019, the theme “Think equal, build smart, innovate for change”, ran with the hashtag #balanceforbetter on social media.
This year, the conversation across the globe is to further express the need to understand gender equality. Many companies and organizations find this as an opportunity to contribute their quota to the society in the aspect of humanism. This celebration comes in different forms depending on the kind of organization and what they have in mind.
For us at Rite Foods Limited, it was another opportunity to give back to society. As a result, in celebrating the unique strengths of the feminine gender, we organized our first ever event: Food, Drinks and Her. Food, Drinks and Her aka FDH2019 held on the 30th of March at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos. The event which was a mix of exhibition, panelist discussions, guest appearances, and after-party started around 9 am till late in the night.
The event was indeed a platform where not just women but men of different ages had the opportunity to learn, network and above all, have a lot of fun. There were two panelist sessions where great women in different genres of business dished out undiluted tips on being successful in a chosen career. There were also about 35 exhibitors around at the event to showcase their different products in the food and drink sector.
The energy and excitement throughout the event remained high, and all in attendance had many wonderful things to say and take home with. How could anybody have any contrary experience when every tummy was filled and every body’s senses were activated on every level? With all expectations met, and many hoping for a repeat of a gathering like it again.
At Rite Foods Limited, we are forever committed to building our community.
It is not just our culture to find good deeds and reward them but we are passionate about people who strive to do good when they don’t need to.
On Thursday 21st of March 2019, we changed the story of a young man, Ugochukwu Ibere, who was once a street hawker of ready to go sausages, as of today he now owns his own furnished, equipped and well-stocked shop (Ugochuku Ibere Store) located at 181, Bamgbose Street, Lagos Island.
Ugochukwu Ibere, who had faced his own fair share of hardship and injustice, found it in his heart to give aid to convicts being transported to Ikoyi prison, it was in his selfless act that he was spotted and his picture shared on social media drew our attention, his humanitarian service and deep level of empathy touched our hearts and we were moved to empower him for his immeasurable act of kindness.
We are confident in his prospect of being extremely successful because he has shown dedication to everything he has committed himself to.
At the launch of Mr. Ibere’s new shop, Mr. Joseph Adesewo, Regional Sales Manager, who represented Mr. Seleem Adegunwa, Managing Director of Rite Foods Limited and other members of the Rite Foods staff interacted with passersby who were humbled by Mr. Ugochukwu’s grass to grace testimony.
No other person was more satisfied than Mrs. Adenike Ajitena a Banker and a Lawyer who was responsible for first spreading the word of this Hero without a cape.

With the arrival of the month of February comes the intense feeling to show love. However, of recent, it has been discovered that showing of love does not necessarily mean giving of gifts. Sometimes, it’s the length we go to make people happy that matters. Doing the littlest thing could mean a lot. The effort might be little but it sure gladdens the heart to know someone is thinking about you.
Rite Foods Limited has thought it wise to show love in the little way they can by appreciating the efforts of those that are always on their toes to make sure there is little or no traffic jam in some areas in Lagos. Rite Foods staff took over the job of traffic wardens for few hours while they got refreshed with the Rite Foods gift packs containing Rite Foods range of products.
In addition to that, Fearless roller skaters engaged with people during traffic hours at the same location. The roller skaters gave out Fearless Energy Drinks to commuters in traffic and did a really nice job. This simple show of love put smiles on the faces of those they came in contact with.
Rite Foods Limited has shown that love is not just about romance. Sometimes, it’s about community service and they sure did a great job showcasing that. Of a truth, they have in them the proudly Nigerian spirit by being their brother’s keeper.
