RITE FOODS LIMITED AT OJUDE OBA 2019
It’s a well-known fact that Ojude Oba is one of the largest festivals that welcomes the gathering of people from different spheres of life. The Ojude-Oba festival is known to the Ijebus as a major festival that brings them together. Ijebu indigenes come from far and wide, home and abroad to pay homage to their king, the Awujale at the stadium opposite the palace.
The attendees who dress in various colorful attires assemble in their different native age grades known as the Regberegbe. They each take turns as a family or household to display their outfits with their different skills in horse riding and other cultural artistries to pay homage to the king.
Rite Foods Limited is never left out at such functions because at the heart of the business/company lies our cultural heritage. Apart from paying homage to the king, which is the custom, Rite Foods Limited provided refreshments to the over 10,000 people who were present at the event from the lineup of Taste Squad. Lots of Rite Foods goody bags were given out to people.
As a form of giving back to the society and in the spirit of the season, Rite Foods Limited revamped the Ita-Ale market close to the palace and also donated electricity generating sets to the traders in the market.
As far as the festival continues to hold, the company will not cease to be a part of the great festival and continue to contribute their quota to the success of the event.
Long Live Rite Foods! Long Live Ijebu land!! Long Live the Awujale!!!

International women’s day is annually celebrated on March 8 to commemorate the achievements of women throughout history and across the nation. All through the month of March, there is always a buzz of celebration in the air to acknowledge the varying unique characteristics and strengths of a woman. This year’s celebration is not any different excluding the fact that the theme varies every year.
For the year 2019, the theme “Think equal, build smart, innovate for change”, ran with the hashtag #balanceforbetter on social media.
This year, the conversation across the globe is to further express the need to understand gender equality. Many companies and organizations find this as an opportunity to contribute their quota to the society in the aspect of humanism. This celebration comes in different forms depending on the kind of organization and what they have in mind.
For us at Rite Foods Limited, it was another opportunity to give back to society. As a result, in celebrating the unique strengths of the feminine gender, we organized our first ever event: Food, Drinks and Her. Food, Drinks and Her aka FDH2019 held on the 30th of March at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos. The event which was a mix of exhibition, panelist discussions, guest appearances, and after-party started around 9 am till late in the night.
The event was indeed a platform where not just women but men of different ages had the opportunity to learn, network and above all, have a lot of fun. There were two panelist sessions where great women in different genres of business dished out undiluted tips on being successful in a chosen career. There were also about 35 exhibitors around at the event to showcase their different products in the food and drink sector.
The energy and excitement throughout the event remained high, and all in attendance had many wonderful things to say and take home with. How could anybody have any contrary experience when every tummy was filled and every body’s senses were activated on every level? With all expectations met, and many hoping for a repeat of a gathering like it again.
